FRANK O. MASON:
his civic & community involvment
Frank Mason was best known for his professional work as a police officer and later as superintendent of Prisons. His notoriety as the Prison boss was captured in a song "Mason Disco" by calypsonian Sunblaze. He was integral to the development of the training rehabilitation program that trained builders, carpenters, bakers, tailors and farmers. He was also instrumental to the establishment of a Christmas time Prison concert that was conceptualized by the wife of a Methodist Minster. Before his life in the security forces, he was a agricultural extension officer on the Leeward side of the island.
Outside of his hectic work life, he was also an active member of several civic and sporting organizations, including the Volunteer Firefighters Brigade, the Auxiliary Police Force, Pride of Solomon Cloisters Lodge #1, Carnival Development Committee (CDC), Maples Netball Club, and numerous others which are highlighted below.

The Kingstown Methodist Church is one of the oldest Methodist churches in the Caribbean. In 1790 the Methodist missionaries purchased an old Roman Catholic Church and the congregation of many freed slaves helped to build the Methodist Church that stands there today. The church was dedicated in 1841.
F.O. Mason was a devout Methodist Christian who served in many capacities including circuit steward, choir member, class leader, member of the Men's Fellowship and Captain of the Boys' Brigade. |

Founded in the year 1979 and having gained ascension into the FIFA in the year 1988. The federation oversees all important aspects of the sport of football in the St Vincent region, including the matters related to the St Vincent and the Grenadine’s national football team and the NLA Premier league.
