about his life
While most memorably known for his feats of the cricket field, F.O. Mason was also known for his involvement in soccer, track and field and netball. He was also a cricket umpire, soccer referee, coach and administrator in various sporting disciplines.
|
Frank O. Mason O.B.E, spent most of his working life in the Police and Prison services in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He retired in 1985 as the Superintendent of Prisons. However, there was much more to this humble man than meets the eye. He was involved in carnival, volunteer fire fighting, the Solomon's Cloister Lodge, Boys Brigade, and the Kingstown Methodist Church.
|
F.O. was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle. He married Kathleen Patterson in 1963 and had three children with her. He also fathered two older children.
He was a cool, likable man who kept no enemies, even if he was an enemy of others. He was fun loving and fun to be around. He was quite the life of any party, picnic or casual social gathering. |
